Luminum Pty Ltd (ABN 35 688 338 409) is a consulting and software business based on Sydney's Northern Beaches. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of our work, how we use it, and how you can ask about it.

What we collect

When you use the enquiry form we collect your name, company, email address, the service you are interested in and any detail you choose to give us. When you email us directly we hold whatever you send. During a consulting or software engagement we may also handle business contact details for people in your organisation and, where a system we build or run stores it, information belonging to your customers or staff. That information is handled under the agreement for that engagement, and you remain responsible for it.

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies and does not track visitors across other sites. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

How we use it

We use enquiry and email information to respond to you and, if we go on to work together, to run the engagement. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

Enquiries are delivered to us by an email delivery service (Resend) and stored in our business mailbox (Microsoft 365). The website is hosted on Lovable. Each of these providers processes information on our behalf and under their own security commitments. Some of them store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We do not share your information with any other third party unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a record of our dealings, and we delete them when they are no longer needed. Information handled during an engagement is kept for the period set out in that engagement's agreement.

Security

We use reputable providers, restrict access to our systems, and use encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and if we become aware of a breach affecting your information we will tell you.

Automated decisions

We use AI tools in our work, including to draft, analyse and build software. We do not use automated decision-making to make decisions about you that have a legal or similarly significant effect.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to giles.sutherland@luminum.io and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Workshops

When you register for a Luminum workshop we collect your name, email address, business name, role and number of staff, along with your answers to the pre-workshop questionnaire and anything you enter in the scoring worksheet. We use this information to run the workshop and to follow up with you about relevant services. We do not share it with third parties. You can ask us to delete your workshop information at any time by contacting us through the enquiry form on this website.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and will note the date at the top.
